Parcelle X 2020

"FAVOURITE"

2020 is the first year of production for Parcelle X, which will only be bottled separately in exceptional vintages that deserve it!

After extensive tasting sessions and given the unique character of this specific plot, we decided to bottle it separately to create an exceptional wine.

This wine is made from the estate's very old vines, which are predominantly Cabernet Franc. It is delicious to drink now, while still offering great ageing potential.

Tasting notes:

The colour is dark. The nose is complex with harmonious notes of wild berries, tobacco box and spices due to ageing exclusively in 50-litre wooden vats, which gives it a beautiful complexity while respecting the fruit of the wine.

From the first sip, you can taste silky and delicate tannins.

The intensity of the fruit and the beautiful complexity of the ageing process give this first version of Château Michel de Montaigne's Parcelle X a long and smooth finish.

Harvest:
From 18 September to 5 October.

Blend:
90% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot.

Bottling:
March 2022.
