The 2019 trials

The 2019 vintage follows in the footsteps of the recent great vintages of 2018, 2015, 2010 and 2009, in terms of quality.

At Château Michel de Montaigne we were able to achieve

The balance between the triumvirate of aroma concentration, structure (tannin and alcohol) and acidity, thanks in part to balanced weather conditions throughout the growing season.

Tasting note:

The color is intense and dark. The nose is complex with harmonious notes of black fruits, cedar, and menthol.

From the outset, we feel a very ample palate with dense and smooth tannins. The intensity of the fruit mixed with well-integrated aromatic notes of wood gives a beautiful finish to this cuvée "Les Essais" from Château Michel de Montaigne.

Harvest:

From September 24 to October 14.

Assembly :

45% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc,

25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
