The 2018 vintage, born under the pressure of mildew, is finally at the time of vinification as "unprecedented", of very high quality, with perfect maturity.
At Château Michel de Montaigne our wines have roundness and a beautiful balance, which will delight consumers and certainly place 2018 among the great vintages of the 21st century.
Tasting notes:
The robe is dark, garnet. The nose is complex with harmonious notes of forest fruits, tobacco box, spices.
From the first sip, you can feel a mouth with silky and delicate tannins.
The intensity of the fruit and the beautiful complexity of barrel aging provide a long and harmonious finish for this Cuvée “Les Essais” from Château Michel de Montaigne.
Volume and balance go well with all kinds of meat preparations.
Nose: notes of morello cherry/strawberry/blackberry. A delicate nose, with a lovely, discreet and complex oakiness.
Palate: A direct attack, followed by a lovely volume in the mid-palate. The tannins are well-integrated and smooth. Beautiful balance throughout. A delicious wine.
Grape harvest:
From September 25th to October 10th.
Assembly :
45% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bottling:
September 2020.
