A distinguished vintage, aged in oak barrels, with character!

The 2018 vintage, born under mildew pressure, is finally at the time of vinification as "unprecedented", of very good quality, with perfect maturity.

At Château Michel de Montaigne, our wines have roundness and a beautiful balance, which will delight consumers and certainly place 2018 among the great vintages of the 21st century.

Tasting note:

The color is dark, garnet. The nose is complex with harmonious notes of wild berries, tobacco box, and spices.

From the attack we feel a mouth with silky and delicate tannins.

The intensity of the fruit and the beautiful complexity of barrel aging provide a long and harmonious finish for this Cuvée “Les Essais” from Château Michel de Montaigne.

Volume and balance go well with all kinds of meat preparations.

Nose: notes of morello cherry/strawberry/blackberry. A delicate nose with a lovely, discreet and complex woody note.

Palate: A straightforward attack, followed by a beautiful volume in the mid-palate. The tannins are well-present and melting. Beautiful balance throughout the mouth. A delicious wine.
